Software QA Developer

Under the direction of the SQA Director, the QA Developer is able to write code used to test company’s products. In his role, the SQA Developer will design, develop, implement and execute core tests for various critical applications (web server, client/server and desktop applications) and participate in the overall quality assurance of our solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and build automated test suites for functional testing, stress testing and performance/scalability testing
  • Design and implement test frameworks, including API
  • Measure the performance of Web applications using Automated Test Tools and provide improvement recommendations
  • Maintain ownership of design, execution and maintenance of automated testing framework, scripts and utilities
  • Participate in product design reviews
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed
  • Develop and supervise the implementation of software test plans
  • Document and track software defects found during testing
  • Publish test reports and review release criteria prior to general distribution

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in computer science or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience of which 3 years in creating and conducting automated tests for Web-based products
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and QA methodologies
  • Proficiency in English written and verbal, French is an asset
