Electronic Signature Integration

For end-to-end straight through processing

Silanis offers integration with enterprise applications, data, services and devices. This includes pre-built interfaces, web services and document services to facilitate integration, support shared service implementations, and ensure enterprise-grade security and operations.

How e-signatures integrate with core systems

There is much more to integrating an electronic signature application into your core business processes than simply handing off a document to a web service, and waiting for it to come back signed. This is essentially what you get when you go with e-signature vendors that offer simple 'I Agree' button functionality - an engine on your server around which you need to build an entire application.

In order to create an integrated, optimized straight-through process, you need to be able to define many transaction variables on-the-fly, manage exceptions, and communicate between systems. Consider the following:

  • How many documents need to be signed, initialed, viewed, accepted, and/or delivered?
  • How many people are involved in the process and what are their roles?
  • Where do you want the signatures, initials, date and data entry fields placed?
  • In what order and how will users enter the transaction/how will they sign?
  • What data needs to be shared between applications at the start, during and after the process?

This might sound complicated and give you cause to rethink whether your team and infrastructure are ready for e-signatures. The good news is, with the right solution, one that manages everything from a-z, developing and integrating e-signatures can be easy as 1-2-3.

Our approach to integration

Because Silanis has been doing this for years, we've already done a lot of the integration work for you and make these resources available as part of the solution. As the diagram below shows, all you need to do is assemble the documents and transaction meta data and present it to Silanis through a "Create e-Sign Transaction"API call.

With Silanis, you get:

  • Transparent integration - An e-signature process that seamlessly integrates into existing Web applications
  • Interfaces - Built-in integration points and a web services API
  • Document services - Document preparation for signature and data placement, PDF assembly
  • Mobility and devices -Support for signature tablets, LCD navigation, iPads, smart phones, smart cards
  • Services and applications - Integration with third-party services such as user authentication, identification and fax
  • Reliability - Proven performance with 600+M in-production transactions per year, and load tested to 3 billion

Integration advantages with Silanis

What does this mean for you? Essentially, with Silanis, it takes less work to build your e-signature application. Rather than defining and writing code for a process and every possible variation, you just have to create the transaction and hand it to us. As a result, you can:

  • Get started sooner with e-signatures - no need to delay because of resource constraints.
  • Leave IT resources to core development and systems
  • Leverage existing infrastructure
  • Align with corporate IT policies
  • Lower total cost of infrastructure
  • Easily deploy to new business processes
  • Achieve end-to-end, streamlined straight-through processing
