In August 2005, the US government passed the Energy Policy Act, which changes the start and end dates of Daylight Saving Time (DST). Effective in 2007, DST will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March), and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November) than traditionally. Please click here for more information on this subject.
Silanis products do not generate or manipulate date and time information. Consequently, Silanis Product Management determined that there is no need for a DST preparedness plan. Silanis products use the date and time information provided by the underlying software infrastructure (e.g. operating system, application server, etc…). It is the responsibility of the infrastructure software provider to comply with the new DST requirements.
For your convenience, we have provided the following links to additional information concerning the DST change. Please consult your software provider for complete information concerning DST.
